There are racing games from like 1990 (F-Zero) and 1992 (Virtua Racing) and 1998 (Ridge Racer R4) that are good and look good. Good art doesn’t suddenly become bad. Also, console generations are closer together in quality than ever before. XB1 to Series X isn’t like going from SNES to N64 or from PS1 to PS2.

The last few Forza Horizon games have finally treated us to some 60FPS open world racing, with Horizon 5 in particular proving a real treat on Xbox Series X and S. However, the older games in the series are all stuck at 30FPS, and the second game sticks out most as the entry we'd love to see updated.
When it comes to FH5, graphics on Xbox One are bad, Series S, and Series X performance are decent, and Series X quality is good. With resolution 1080p is bad, 1440p is decent, and 4k is good. With framerate 30fps is bad, and 60fps is good (with no in-between option). Currently, we have 2 modes.
