Had a 1.4 from 9000 miles up to 98,000 miles (the 6.5 is just cosmetic changes) found the 1.4 great, 50mpg, reliable although had a couple of broken springs and the coil went once. (All standard problems) The only other things I changed in the 7 years I had it were brakes, brake pipes and disks.
